Winsford Gardens Open Day
Sunday 3 June 2018
Once again held as part of the Penge Festival on the Sunday immediately after Penge Festival Fete day at Royston Fields.
Well attended once again with the weather being kind.
Three main stalls: refreshments; plants; kids’ activities; plus table with various information.
Difficult weather conditions leading-up to Open Day this year, meant many seedlings were not ‘ready’ for selling or not in flower, and germination of seeds was a little hit and miss. We sold courgettes, runner beans and Swiss chard. Herbs: rosemary, sage, mint. Perennials: geraniums, rose campions, pink campions, Astrantia.
