6 years and still going strong

It is difficult to say precisely what work we will be undertaking each week in advance as it is dependent upon the weather, the number of volunteers who turn up, our funding and the availability of materials for tasks.

The following list should be only used as a guide, however we will always try to offer a range of different tasks and opportunities to suit everyone.

With funding in place from Tesco ‘Bags of Help’ work can continue with our two main summer projects:

1. Creating a small pond to increase biodiversity (possibly with a woven hazel fencing and/or living willow fence.)

2. Creating our Beth Chatto-style gravel garden (possibly with wooden seat.)

This Week our tasks may also include:

1. Repair/re-build insect hotels located around the gardens.

2. Refurbish natural seating area as sliced tree trunk benches now need replacing.

But don’t worry there is always plenty of more gentle gardening work weeding, pruning, watering and lawn edging.

Turning the Compost bins.

Tool maintenance and cleaning the shed.

Litter picking and cleaning up dog mess.

Having fun and getting fit for free in the open air and sun.
